Cancellation Policy (No Show) & Refunds
We understand that there will be a need to reschedule or alter Driving Lesson/Drive Test appointments from time to time. Please make all driving lesson/drive test cancellations and alterations by calling Safe N Smart Driving School or leaving a text message. Please give us as much notice as possible (check the notice periods mentioned below for the cancellation charges) and only make changes to the Drive Test dates/location after checking the availability of Driving Instructor. In case a Drive Test booking time or location is changed without communication and checking the availability of the allocated instructor (after the original booking is made), we might not be able to cover the Drive Test if the Instructor is already booked for that day. Any charges associated for rebooking will be covered by the client and no refunds can be issued for change of mind once the original booking is made with us. All the refunds requests are considered on individual merits depending on the individuals circumstances there by making a decision on whether the refund is eligible and the amount to be refunded. Please refer below for the rescheduling/cancellation fees associated wit the Lessons & Drive Test Packages.
Driving Lessons Package Cancellation & Refunds
At least 48 hours notice must be given to avoid a cancellation fee.

Driving Lessons rescheduled less than 48 hours notice – 50% of scheduled lesson fee applies.

Driving Lessons rescheduled less than 24 hours notice or not attended – 100% of scheduled lesson fee applies.

Driving Lessons rescheduled over 48 hours notice - No Charge

No show - 100% of scheduled lesson/test fee applies.

Cancellation of Driving Lesson Packages after the package has started will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the remaining balance calculated on the full price of the lesson. A service fees of $50 also applies to all cancellation of the driving lesson packages after the commencement of the package. No refunds can be made for change of mind, so please ensure you make a purchase only if you want to go ahead with the package. There is an option of booking one lesson at a time in case the learner is not sure about their commitment or want to try on the experience with Driving Instructor first before committing themselves to the package. Under some circumstances the Driving Lesson/Drive Test packages might be outsourced to other instructors/driving school if we are over occupied with the bookings. If the driving lesson/test package has already been outsourced to the Driving Instructor then the refunds process will be dealt by the client directly with the allocated Driving Instructor/Driving School.

Cancellation of Driving Lessons Package before the start for of the 1st lesson/package - 1 Lesson Charge or $100 cancellation fees (whichever is greater) applies calculated on the full price of the lesson if more than 48 hours notice is given before the appointment and 2 Lesson Charges for notice period less than 48 hours. No refunds can be made for change of mind.

All Diving Lesson/Drive Test packages must be used within 3 months of purchase and the package expires if not used within that time period.
Driving Test Package Cancellation & Refunds

Drive Test rescheduling/cancellation needs at least 72 hours of notice. Any rescheduling/cancellation done under 72 hours notice - 100 % of scheduled fee applies.

Drive Test Booking cancelled between 72 hours to 7 days prior to booking date - 60% of the booking fees applies.

Drive Test Booking cancelled 30 days - 7 days prior to booking date - 50% of booking fees applies.

Drive Test Booking cancelled 45 days -30 days prior to booking date - $100 service fees applies.

Drive Test Booking cancelled more than 45 days prior to booking date - $50 service fees applies.

Rescheduling fees of $50 applies for the Drive Tests for change of Date (subject to availability). Rescheduling fees applies for the change of drive test location/service centre. (Charges vary from location to location depending on the distance and service areas).

In case the Drive test does not go ahead on the day because of VicRoads regulations, hazard test not being completed, log book not accepted, incomplete documentation - 100% of the charges apply.
All Drive Test/Driving Lessons Packages are non-refundable (no change of mind). Appointments can be rescheduled with the notice period mentioned above. Please ensure to call us in case you have any doubts regarding the booking, prior to making a booking online. In case of change of date/location of the Drive Test appointment, do check the availability of instructors with us before locking in any dates. Additional charges apply for change of location/date of Drive Test if agreed upon by the driving instructor and is subject to availability. Charges do vary from location to location, so do consult us before you make any changes to the appointments. All Packages must be used within 3 months from the date of purchase.
